We say

Johnny Seven hail from Teeside and started life as a punk rock band way back in 1978 before quitting their teenage dreams for 31 years before returning for a  surpassingly slick, powerful and vibrant set of good old rock n roll songs that would sound perfect on a Wildhearts tour. They certainly have the songs and the polish to go a lot further than being big local noise.

Maybe it was the 31 years they took off after punk rock that gave them time to get things this together…

They say

‘Johnny Seven reformed after 31 years after being asked to support the Rezillos at the Georgian Theatre in Stockton on 9th Dec 2011. We have been asked to get the band back together a number of times previously, but as the band was formed at a Rezillos gig at Middlesbrough Rock Garden in 1978, this one felt right. The band were so well received at the gig we decided to carry on and play some more.
Practising in a secret punk bunker, we have taken the old tunes, given them a spit and polish and come up with what we think is a set you will enjoy.’
