Former Bauhaus frontman, Peter Murphy, announcesUK tour
and new single, ‘Seesaw Sway’ (released Oct 10th)
Bauhaus were one of the great bands in the post punk period. ‘Bela Lugosi’s Dead’ was a groundbreaking single and they scored highly with their originality and brilliance and were mainstays of the post punk and the so called ‘Goth’ scene.
The band have either split up or are in limbo but frontman Murphy is doing some great work. I saw him play at Rebellion punk festival last year and it was a mesmerising performance.
The iconic Murphy is set to embark on a brand new UK tour following the release of his critically acclaimed new solo album Ninth last month.
The former Bauhaus front man will play gigs in London, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds and Liverpool in October.
The tour dates are:
12 Oct Ӊ London, The Garage
13 Oct Ӊ Bristol, Academy 2
14 Oct Ӊ Glasgow, King Tuts
15 Oct Ӊ Leeds, Cockpit

Peter’s next single Seesaw Sway is released on 10th October. One taste of Seesaw Sway will remind you exactly who you’re dealing with: the man. It is punk, goth, doom, ”Ë80s gloom, everything is present and accounted for
Peter ignited a new generation of fans in 2009 when appearing with Trent Reznor during Nine Inch Nails final tour and again in 2010 with a central cameo appearance as “The Cold One” in Eclipse, the most resent instalment of the Twilight series.
