I have listened to this album so many times I think I know every note and nuance! This is a perfect album in every way. Tom Verlaines precise, clear and emotional guitar playing offset with Richard Lloyds rhythm guitar, Fred Smiths bass and the great drumming of Billy Ficca. The lyrics are poetic and Tom Verlaines singing is strained and emotional. The title track Marquee Moon is a masterpiece. Every track is pure perfection. It’s unbelievable that this was released 37 years ago. It still sounds as fresh as the first day I heard it!
