With Parklife announcements set to drop on us any day now, it seems like this would be a great time to reflect on last year’s festival – and to get hyped for the one to come. Last year Parklife may have been crowded, muddy, wet and loud – but that’s to be expected from Manchester’s answer to Glastonbury, surely?
Personally, I had a great time and this year looks set to be even bigger and better. That seems hard to imagine too, as last year boasted a line-up that was topped by Foals and Snoop Dogg.
Elsewhere, there were bands that have since shot to stardom like Clean Bandit, Sam Smith, Bastille and George Ezra, as well as classics like Soul II Soul. You couldn’t really go wrong – especially when taking into consideration that you had the likes of Disclosure, Annie Mac, David Rodigan and Julio Bashmore dropping some of the biggest sets of their lives. If that gets you excited, just imagine what’s to come this year.
The food was great (including a personal favourite visit to Almost Famous), the beer was flowing and (eventually) the sun was shining. The atmosphere is electric and I couldn’t walk from one end of the field to the other without bumping into a friendly face.
It’s hard to imagine that this years could be any better and with earlybird tickets almost selling out, it looks like many people share my point of view, too.
Parklife Festival will take place June 6th & 7th this year at Heaton Park. To register for early bird tickets go here: parklife.uk.com/index.php.
There are just 10,000 £79.50 earlybird tickets available in the Parklife 2015 presale. If you’ve registered, you’ll be sent an email with your presale ticket link.
Presale goes live this Thursday 9am. Set your alarms…
