Paranoid Visions, the Dublin punk legends have stormed the irish charts for the second time this year.

The band’s latest single ‘Outsider Artist’ (FOAD Records) hit number 6 in the charts sharing the Top Ten with X-Factor types, the Top 5 was a sorry roll call of One Direction (twice), Westlife, Cher Lloyd and JLS…. wouldn’t you love to have been present for the meeting in Syco’s ofices that morning!

The single which featured vocals from Adverts legend TV Smith is a 3 track CD with 8 bonus tracks and 3 track 7″, and comes complete with Crass style foldout sleeve all available from the band’s own website or itunes

Paranoid Visions round off another highly successful year with the November 11 release of Outsider Artist, their new EP which features guest vocals from TV Smith of punk legends The Adverts fame.

Culled from their forthcoming ‘Escape From The Austerity Complex’ album, the three-tracker also features ”ËœBlame The Visions (Prophet For The Lost)’, which was recorded live in NYC with assorted members of The Blame, and a track featuring the vocals and theremin playing of Cravats man The Shend, ”ËœControl (It’s Lovely Today’).

On the live front, there are gigs to look forward to in The Pint, Dublin (November 12 + Estel, Excuses, SFU, The Lee Harveys and Suckin’ Diesel) and The Button Factory, Dublin (February 4). The latter is a double-header with Belfast band The Outcasts whose last foray south of the border was in 1984 to support The Clash.
