Statement from Oliver Wilson about the new event

Manchester music pals..

I am so excited to let you know that in 2022 an international music conference and new music festival will be launching in Manchester… BEYOND THE MUSIC…

Three days when international artists, industry leaders, innovators and pioneers will converge at The Midland Hotel to debate the key issues our industry (and our City) now face.

More information to follow.. but first of all.. I would like to invite you to the pre-launch event.. the Manchester Symposium.. an open forum for the Manchester music community to debate music, live gigs and entertainment in our City.

If you are tagged in this post it’s because I want you to be there so please sign up via the eventbrite link below and BE PART OF THE CONVERSATION.

(Some notes on the forums)

– there are three forums – The City (& new music festival) – Artists, Labels and Managers – Independent Venues and Promoters.
– each forum in the round (roving mics/town hall style meeting)
– Chatham House rules (you can talk about ideas that were discussed but not who discussed them)
– closed doors (no press)

This is a chance for Manchester to say how it really is – and forge new ways forward – ahead of the global conference in 2022.

I hope you can join us x
