Northside Reform: Manc Baggy Band ReturnsNorthside have reformed with all 4 original members.

The Manchester baggy band who released an album and a clutch of single of Factory records have returned into a world still fascinated by that period. It gives the band a chance to state their case as they were far better than many thought and their album stands up as a piece of great northern baggy wars psychedelia, with some great crystalline guitar playing and a sardonic north Manchester take on the party of the time.

Obviously no one expects Stone Roses at heaton park style landslides here, but the band do have a big underground following and will do well at festivals next summer and still have enough ragamuffin charm and good songs to sell out UK gigs.

Northside’s Facebook page is here.
