We were heartbroken when we first heard that Grinderman had apparently split but out minds have been put at rest…Grinderman have not and never did come to and end.

Their name appeared on the bill at Coachella Festival weeks after it had been widely reported that they had ended and in a just published interview in the Canberra Times Nick Cave explained.

“Grinderman can’t really break up because it was never formed in the first place,” Cave says, running a hand through his hair.

“There were reports about Grinderman breaking up because of something I said on stage and so we just didn’t say anything to the contrary.

“There’s kind of a robust structure to most of what I do, especially the Bad Seeds, but Grinderman is like a big sloppy whore who can do anything and it’s been very liberating.”

The current Nick Cave album is number one in Australia and number 3 in the UK- sanity has prevailed in the world of rock n roll this week and the mainstream is suddenly full of dark songs- these are the good times brothers and sisters and we also get the bonus of Grinderman still being amongst us. Lets rejoice by playing the Bad Seeds album yet again…

  1. Glad to hear, as saw Grinderman live at Connect gig, Inverary Castle grounds a few years back n they were FANTASTIC! X

  2. An interesting discussion is worth comment. I feel which you ought to write a lot more on this subject, it may possibly not be a taboo topic but generally many people aren’t sufficient to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
