A stacked lineup will take to the stage, early in 2016 at Edinburgh’s Voodoo Rooms to support the Scottish Refugee Council.
Edinburgh Voodoo Rooms will host a plethora of bands on the 2nd of January 2016, with all profits going to the Scottish Refugee Council, Glasgow, with tickets priced at £7.00.
The legendary 60’s/70’s Garage pop/punk band The Rezillos top the bill at the end of a year that has seen them tour North America with the Stranglers, and immediately after a scorching UK Tour, promoting the generation-awaited second album ZERO, almost 40 years after their classic debut on NYC’s Sire Records
With support coming from The Filthy Tongues, the core members of Angelfish, the band who propelled Shirley Manson to superstardom in Garbage, as well as Edinburgh’s beloved Goodbye Mr McKenzie. As well as Edinburgh stalwarts, The Jackals, who are currently promoting their new album, People, put their shoulder to the collective wheel, demonstrating that People Matter and that Scotland Cares.
Joining them is sensational new Scots troubadour Declan Welsh who has been promoting his EP Alright throughout 2015, and has supported the likes of Squeeze, Glasvegas and Echo And The Bunnymen, Edinburgh hopefuls The Mona Lisas and Creation Sessions Scotland intern, Lyndsey Ann Craig, both with EP releases this year, get things rolling.
Spoken word provided in between bands by Michael Pederson (Neu Reekie), with fellow Scots laureate Tam Dean Burn, who will compere alongside In Your Face Theatre/Trainspotting’s Jessica Innes.
