To celebrate the release of his new book of poetry (his first to be written in English) Datblygu  frontman and lyricist David R Edwards is to perform in the much revered independent record shop Spillers Records this April.

Beloved by Peel and celebrated as one of the most iconic bands to emerge from Wales, Datblygu were (and remain) one of the most influential bands to come out of this side of the Severn Bridge. Their reemergence over the last few years has been wonderful to witness and now, for the first time, main lyricist David R Edwards is set to release a book of poetry in English. The book (published by Recordiau Prin) also comes with a CD of David reciting a selection of the poems accompanied by Welsh avant-garde musician Pulco.

To celebrate the release of the book, David and Pulco will be performing a purely improvised set at the legendary Spillers Records on 29 April 2017. The event starts at 5:30pm and is free entry.
