Audacity are a band who are brimming with confidence and to begin with it was hard not to get swept up by their exuberance. Famed for raucous shows, their full length outings have only epitomised their excitement, packed with energy and relentless pop hooks with Hyper Vessels predecessor Butter Knife being the perfect encapsulation of this.
Now though they’re back and this energy has manifested and Audacity have shown no sign of slowing down, with Ty Segall behind the desk it’s only spurred them on. The album is slightly more polished, so the grit of Butter Knife may have been left behind, but this is by no means a let down as Audacity have grown and matured and Hyper Vessels is a product of this maturity.
However, what has also come with this is a sharpening of the bands delivery, and with the help of Segall this ferocity a savagery has been captured in the best way possible. It’s already instantly evident in lead single Dirty Boy, which you can check out below!
