NEW MUSIC : Flatbush Zombies : tripped out pyschedelic hip hop from New York
the drugs DO work…
Hailing from Flatbush in Brooklyn, the Flatbush Zombies are dealing that heavy tripped out smokey hip hop strand that crops up every now and then when the rappers use the weed for inspiration.

Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice and producer/rapper Erick Arc Elliott have twisted the beats with a mind altering ooze that reflects their extra curricular interests of zombie movies and smoking stuff that makes the beats slur and the word flow drawl.

It’s great stuff and makes you feel fantastically dislocated.

The group came together musically around 2010.[ Their first club performance took place in 2012 at the Southpaw in Brooklyn.  Their breakthrough was the release of  the “Thug Waffle” video on YouTube.  Later in the year, Flatbush Zombies released a mixtape titled D.R.U.G.S., which stands for “Death and Reincarnation Under God’s Supervision”.

In 2013, the group collaborated with fellow Brooklyn rappers The Underachievers on the single “No Religion”. Flatbush Zombies also released the video for “MRAZ”, a track off the group’s upcoming mixtape Better off Dead.
