The popularity of urban festivals is at an all time high and shows no signs of abating, and a new addition to the festival calendar has just been announced in the guise of Holy Boredom, a two-day festival taking place in Cardiff’s legendary venue Clwb Ifor Bach on May bank holiday with a lineup chock full of Louder Than War favourites.
Adam Williams gives us the full details:
“Sunday May 4th will see a new one day festival take over Cardiff’s Clwb Ifor Bach, as Holy Boredom gathers bands and promoters committed to bold and intrepid new sounds, for over twelve hours of music in the country’s capital. Born out of a wish to showcase the wealth of underground voices, already confirmed are London’s avantgroovers Zun Zun Egui, the psychedelic US space rock of Pontiak, Nottingham’s fuzzy noise beasts Kogumaza, plus some of the best new bands from Bristol in Oliver Wilde, Trust Fund and SJ Esau. There will be more. Full announcement comes 10am Monday, March 3rd, with tickets on sale at the same time.”
“Book the week off.”
