Factory Floor press shot

Factory Floor has announced the first track from their highly anticipated eponymously-titled debut.

First track Turn It Up is, on first listen, a minimalist trip through bouncing beeps and a deep vocal intoning “where is a good place to start?”

But it’s repeat listens – and break out your good headphones and whack the volume up for this – that uncover the depth of the track.

The cowbell keeps the momentum moving forward but over and above it is a melodic tumbling, rhythmic grooves.

A great track giving a strong indication that the debut will be every bit as progressive yet accessible.

Factory Floor will be released on DFA Records on 9 September 2013 with UK tour dates expected to be announced following the band’s appearance at Lovebox.
