This Water Kills like to describe themselves as punk but this is a punk that manages to reconnect
with the inventiveness and originality of the post punk period. The real post punk period of early Adam And The Ants, The damaged psyche rockabilly of The Cramps, the gonzoid blues of the Gun Club and the feral cordite of early Birthday Party and other dark and strange trips. Their yelping, twitching psychosis with twanging guitars and incessant inventive drums crank this with the adrenalin and the attitude of punk and you have a music that fits perfectly into the helter skelter landscape of 2012.
