new band of the day : The Temps

The Temps are this Liverpool based band that have been around a couple of years but are still so young that they still qualify for new. Their live show is full of crashing, colliding riffs and manic stage performances. They are operating somewhere in the early Horrors, Birthday Party, Jesus Lizard dark noise with feral jazz, malevolent monkey blues and the sort of scuzzy, angular post hardcore colliding riff noise that we love here at LTW! But they come armed with great riffs and incessant intensity.

Live there’s plenty of body pounding angst and a genuine raw power. They have supported the Fall and the Membranes and are building up a good local following of like minded intense freaks.
