a 21st century Link Wray? new band of the day: Scant Regard

Coming on like some sorta 21st century Link Ray, this sounds great, spaghetti western guitar violence merged with electronic backbeats, it has the dark troubadour guitar twang giving it the emotional soundscape and the space age pulse of the electro- a perfect marriage.

The masked man behind Scant Regard is the brainchild of Will Crewdson, sometime guitarist with Rachel Stamp, Adam Ant and Johnette Napolitano amongst others. He strives to fuse raw electronic beats and moods with the smooth, soaring sounds of Morricone’s biting guitar-scapes. Mix it up with a little Link Wray style rock’n’roll swagger and you’ve got a good idea of what to expect.
