Describing themselves as ‘Blend of Post Punk and Alt Rock firing straight at the darkest depths of humanity, stalkers, husband beaters, child sex traffickers, whorers, beurecrats, you name it we’ve done it’ Manchester’s Dead Tapes are walking on a very dark side.
They also have the music to match, the trio have the an interest in the dark side and the music to match. There is a post punk flavouring here, an interest in the maverick figures that pepper music and quote PJ Harvey, Ian Brown and Jello Biafra as signposts to their music which is droning, atmospheric and powerful.
Love this band john
Deadtapes will be the next british promising indie act
