The Probes are a tripped out gem.

Dealing a  21st century psychedelia, they make the past look like the future with a delicious musical melt that combines the motornik of Neu with some wonderful tripped out guitars and songs that are threaded to either as one endless piece that can last up to 30 minutes.

There are so many great ideas built into their sound that it captivates you – from the reverb soaked guitar lines that evoke Syd Floyd and Will Sergeant Bunnymen – yup that good to the krautrock drums and the love of repetition it’s all very, very special. The songs drip lysergic melody but are dragged through the discipline and jagged edges of post punk that keeps them linear and not self indulgent.
