New Artist of the Day: Drohne – latest release on Tim Burgess labelDrohne are from Liverpool and their ambient soundscapes with occasional female vocals are haunting and stunningly effective.

The hypnotic soundscapes reminded Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess of long lost Factory outfit Royal Family And The Poor that he had to release them on his O Genesis label and their debut 4 track EP comes out on Sept 1st.

They don’t really remind us of anybody but their lilting beauty and off kilter droning is really hypnotic and unusually brilliant.

For a sneak preview of their brilliance please go to their soundcloud.
