Asylums

Asylums

Remember how exciting it was when we first caught a glimpse of Supergrass or The Manics or even the Buzzcocks?

Remember how these young chaps used to jump around laughing as they pumped out three minute loud guitar orientated tunes you just knew immediately you’d be prepared to listen to again and again?

Meet Asylums who are a four piece from Southend. Once you get these guys in your speakers it could be the start of a long relationship.

They’ve a couple of short tunes available at the moment on “Cool thing Records” which is their own label and they’re out gigging like there’s no tomorrow ….click these two play buttons and spend the next five minutes agreeing that these lot need to be in the same room as you before they grow old and only appear in large rooms that charge lots of money.

You won’t regret this….

Upcoming gigs …

  • Saturday 15th November supporting The Vaselines Thekla, Bristol
  • Sunday 16th November supporting The Vaselines The Haunt, Brighton
  • Friday 5th December @ The Macbeth (This Feeling)

Keith Goldhanger -- Spent the 90's as a frontman with London noisemerchants HEADBUTT - spent the 80's in "Peel favourites" BASTARD KESTREL. Spent a few years mashing up tunes and remixing bands as HIDEOUS WHEEL INVENTION. Is often out and about getting in the way of things and bumping his head on low ceilings - drinks real ale, takes photo's has made a few short films. Will give your band the time of day but will dislike any band that balances full pints of alcohol on the top of guitar amps (Not keen on lead singers that wear hats either).
