The Cure formed in West Sussex in the 1970s as one of the original goth bands, although this a genre they are keen to distance themselves from. Since then, there have been many changes to the lineup, with Robert Smith being the only constant member of the band. Arguably, the band’s most successful song has been “Friday I’m In Love”, released in 1992.
