The Amsterdam based band led by imposing vocalist Wally van Middendorp, took their name from the primitive Korg drum machine that propelled their stark, confrontational post-punk rhythms. Their association with Factory Records saw them work with producer Martin Hannett, gain press plaudits in the UK for their album Sparks in A Dark Room and singles including Dolphin’s Spurt, Kojak, Secret Story and Time, and become the first Dutch act to record a Peel session.

16th January 2012 brings the release of Standstill to Motion (LTM Recordings), a live CD/DVD package documenting powerful 1981 performances by the band in Amsterdam and New York. This follows the warm critical reception for recent LTM reissues of Minny Pops’ back catalogue.
