Ministry to release final album…again!

News has just appeared on the Ministry Facebook page that a new album is to be released;

‘From Beer to Eternity’ is scheduled for release in September 2013, there will be no promotional tour. Instead, Jourgensen will promote the album in the press along with his authorized biography, Ministry: The Lost Gospels According to Al Jourgensen, which comes out on DaCapo Books in August.

Jourgensen told Jon Weiderhorn at Noisey “Maybe we’ll do one big show with Tommy and Sin and the guys who made this band possible for the past few years. That would be a nice tribute to Mikey. But I can’t do a whole tour without him. Ministry was his life almost as much as mine, and I’m afraid it has to die with him. But damn if we didn’t go out with a bang!”

Back in December 2012, Ministry wrote and recorded 18 new tracks at their own 13th Planet studio in El Paso. Unfortunately, only 3 days later, guitarist Mike Scaccia died when performing live on stage with his own band Rigor Mortis (LTW News)

The music they recorded together will now be released to honor Mikey Scaccia. The new album will be the last Ministry record ever so Jourgensen says; then again he declared that following the 2007 release of ‘The Last Sucker’ and again in 2012 with the release of ‘Relapse’
