3. Jane’s Addiction – Ritual de lo Habitual

Having supported Jane’s Addiction in the US in ’89 my anticipation for their
follow up to ‘Nothing’s Shocking’ was unbridled. We invited them to come
support The Wonder Stuff at Brixton Academy in 1990 and with them they
brought this album and we were blown away. The Madchester scene had little
impact on me, too stoned, too cool. I like my rock with some glamour, some
humour and a kick-your-fuckin’-head-in rhythm section, Jane’s Addiction and
Faith No More ruled my stereo around this time.
