I know they’re a bunch of clueless fucking idiots (although Roger and John seem alright) who fluked upon the zeitgeist, I know this is high concept escapism, I know this has very little going beneath it’s flawlessly foundationed complexion, and I know it’s a bit gaudy when it comes down to it, but it’s also pop writing at it’s absolute peak: high concept, shallow and gaudy.
