Two days after my live review of Marilyn Manson’s show in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, MM made the tabloid news with a big vomity splash.

He collapsed on stage in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan during his encore song, ‘Beautiful People’, and spewed forth the contents of his stomach in a rather unbeautiful way to an adoring audience. Apparently, it was not part of the act, but no one realized it for a good few minutes. Eventually three roadies made their way to him and had to literally drag the ailing Manson off the stage as the band played on, and looked rather confused.

Official word is that he had been fighting the flu, and did not end up going to the hospital but was brought to his hotel room to rest. He is expected to return to the stage in Calgary, Alberta on February 8th.

Could his flu have accounted for part of the reason his February 4th Winnipeg show was so lacklustre?

Deep in the heart of Canada, on the north shore of frigid Lake Superior, is a town called Thunder Bay. That\'s where I am from. That\'s where I started to write. And that is where I started to discover music. Now, I\'m a married man with two boys. I still love music. I still go to shows. And I still visit Thunder Bay, even though I haven\'t lived there for many years. What will you find on my iPod? You\'ll find lot of Americana, classic country, heavy stuff, punk and plenty of “guilty pleasures”.
