Drewford Alabama Water field 14

Louder Than War are pleased to premier the new video by Drewford Alabama, Time Is On Your Side. Drewford Alabama is the work of Jamie Morrison (Stereophonics / Noisettes) and this track features vocals by Bnann (The Infadels).

This release is the continuation of the story of Drewford Alabama which we first heard back in January of this year via music which garnered much praise from critics and media personalities alike, as per the following press release…

“After the release of EP1 in January, Jamie Morrison (Stereophonics / Noisettes) the man responsible for bringing us the incredible music & story of Drewford Alabama now presents the 2nd instalment, Time is On Your Side ft  (The Infadels). In 2007, mid world tour Jamie found himself in Williamsburg, New York, sadly the airline didn’t manage to get his luggage there, so he went shopping, ”I ended up with a jacket & suitcase. When I returned to my hotel, I found the lining of the case had been tampered with.” Jamie found secreted in the lining, a book of lyrics by Drewford Alabama. Jamie became obsessed with the lyrics finally tracking down a relation of Drewford, Mary-Anne Alabama & in the summer of 2010 she told stories of how Drewford had loved writing songs but never had the courage to sing to anyone outside the family. Upon leaving Mary-Anne’s “I picked up a guitar & a tape recorder, taught myself how to play & record. Over the next few years I introduced friends to the music & the ‘Life & Times Of Drewford Alabama’ was created.” EP1 featured Fyfe Dangerfield (Guillemots), Emma’s Imagination, & Dawn Landes, we’re thrilled with the support that EP1 garnered with airplay from Xfm (John Kennedy), 6Music (Lauren Laverne, Gideon Coe, Don Letts, Chris Hawkins, Tom Robinson, Cerys Matthews, Huey & Morgan), Radio 2 (Dermot O’ Leary) Amazing Radio, & BBC London”

Time Is On Your Side is set to be released on the 20th July but you can hear it and watch the video right here, right now…
