In our new series of songs of the day we select a manchester band with the perfect legacy from the city (ex Fall/Stone Roses/Dub Sex/Smiths members)…last week we featured the great Stella with her track with Jah Wobble (listen to that track here)

a2894985903_16The Grafters OV Denton EP is the first release from Manchester band The G-O-D.

The band featuring Chris Bridgett (dub sex – who play a big Manchester show in April with the Membranes ) and Funky Si Wolstencroft (Ian Brown, the Fall) have a produced an EP packed with hooks, top choruses and great lyrics. Take a listen to the full EP on the band’s Bandcamp page.

The band play Manchester on the 25th of February at Manchester’s Aatma (formerly KRAAK Gallery) with support from Giant Planets and MOVE ahead of festival performances throughout 2017
