Lou Reed European tour & new DVDJust announced:

Lou Reed is to play dates across both the UK and Europe this summer, to coincide with the release of a live DVD (as yet untitled) of his 2009 appearance at the Coachella Festival (via Sister Ray Ent)

Confirmed dates include;

Kent Hop Farm Music Festival (2 July), London HMV Apollo (4), Paris Le Grand Rex (5), Milan Arena Civica (8), Lecce Italia Wave Love Festival (16), Carhaix Les Vieilles Charrues Festival (17), Taormina Greek Theatre (18), Gardone Riviera Nuovo Festival Del Vittoriale (22), Sogliano Al Rubicone Piazza Matteotti (23), Rome Luglio Suona Bene, Lyon Les Nuits de Fourviere Festival (26).

Lou’s group for these shows will be comprised of the following: Rob Wasserman (bass), Tony Smith (drums), Sarth Calhoun (processing, fingerboard continuum), Kevin Hearn (keyboards), Ulrich Kreiger (sax), and of course, Lou Reed (vocals, guitar).

As an attendee at Eric's he was exposed to punk rock, dub reggae, art rock, and all manner of weirdness; as a customer at Probe Records he was variously served and scowled at by Pete Wylie and Pete Burns - he has written for Record Collector, Whisperin & Hollerin, and Spiral Scratch and wanted to write a book detailing the Liverpool punk scene; however with 'Head-On' Julian Cope beat him to it...and frankly did a much better job.
