2018 was a successful year for Los Blancos, a year that saw the exciting slacker punk band making their mark on the music scene in Wales (and being included in LTW’s bands to watch in 2019 list) This year looks set to be a big year for them too, with the release of their long awaited debut album before the Summer. On the 8th of February, the band will be releasing a new double A side single ‘Ti Di Newid / Cadw Fi Lan’ via Libertino Records. Both songs are contrasting with influences by Velvet Underground, The Replacements and early Y Cyrff.
‘Cadw Fi Lan’ (Keep Me Up) according to Gwyn Rosser, “describes fond memories of rainy Summers in Taliaris with close friends. The lyrics are a tribute to them”. With country influences, the song is very different from what we have already released, with a more relaxing feel”
Ti Di Newid (You Have Changed) serves s a contrast to the melancholic end of summer youthful sweetness of Cadw Fi Lan, Ti Di Newid is raw musically and emotionally. Delving into emotional uncertainties and the brittleness of human connection.
The Songs were yet again recorded by Kris Jenkins (SFA, Cate La Bon)
