Wales’ slash and slacker guitar outfit Los Blancos today announce brand new single ‘Sbwriel Gwyn ‘ and share video. LTW premier!

Ahead of their debut album ‘Sbwriel Gwyn’ (‘White Trash’) being released on the 27th September Los Blancos have announced the next single and released an accompanying video which you can watch below.

‘Sbwriel Gwyn’ finds Los Blancos’ taken their approach to the slacker guitar anthem to its inevitable conclusion with notes hanging in the air or taking an age to emerge leading to the whole song having a off-centre groove which is perfectly befitting these off-centre times. The video for the single was directed by Nico Dafydd and he says of the ideas behind it:

“The band have always wanted to shoot a video where they ‘just mess about’, so it was about finding the right song. Sbwriel Gwyn is basically an unapologetic ode to being from rural West Wales, perfect for finding a dilapidated caravan on a farm and spending a day there. We shot most of it with two cameras, side-by-side, to get slightly different shots of the same action.”

Of the song itself vocalist Gwyn Rosser states:

Sbwriel Gwyn refers to a type of rotting state of being at the start of your 20’s, the song reflects on that state. It’s a self-deprecating term that we use as friends when one of us has done a stupid act, which happens often”

The bands debut album is due for release on the 27th September via Libertino Records and LTW will have a full review published nearer the time.
