buttoneyesLouder Than War’s Dave Beech has discovered a new artist he wants us all to hear, Londoner’s Button Eyes.

Button Eyes’ new single “Please Don’t Take My Blues” sees ultra-charismatic newcomer CW Jones take on lead vocals. It’s a bittersweet tribute to the conflicting emotions brought on by life and music, with traditional instruments underpinned by synthesisers and head nodding hip-hop style drums.

The single will be available on 16th March on iTunes, Bandcamp and all major online outlets.

Button Eyes is a London based musical project headed by South London producer Lewis Lindgren (AKA 184). Button Eyes features some of the most exciting musicians in the country in guest slots, including Rag N Bone Man and Gemma L Williams on vocals and Will Calderbank on cello.

Button Eyes received extensive radio play with the single Simple Days – a song championed by BBC 6 Music taste maker Lauren Laverne. The band also performed Simple Days live on BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends to very warm reception from both listeners and the legendary Engelbert Humperdinck – a fellow guest on the show! The single was also played by Zane Lowe, Phil Taggart & Alice Levine, Jen Long & Ally Mcrae, Monki and Don Letts.

Button Eyes can be found on Facebook, they tweet as: @184Productions.

Dave Beech is a music journalist based out of Manchester. He writes and edits for a number of different websites and links to his work can be found over at his blog, Life’s A Beech, as well as his Louder Than War Author Archive. He also tweets as @Dave__Beech
