John Robb heads up an all-star line-up of the finest music writers at the London Welsh Literature Festival Friday October 4th.
With seminars on the Manic Street Preachers, the NME, the history of independent record labels, the thriving Cardiff music scene, Punk and more, an entire evening of music discussions, debates and readings is completed by an exclusive concert featuring 4 of the 12 shortlisted acts for the 2013 Welsh Music Prize.
Confirmed speakers include: John Robb, Simon Price, Richard King, Jude Rogers, Kieran Evans, Pat Long, Rhian E. jones and more.
Chief Executive of the Welsh Music Foundation John Rostron – “In October, the international world music scene comes to Wales in the form of WOMEX in Cardiff. With the Welsh Music Prize to be announced later this month followed by the SWN festival, Friday is a little taster of what’s happening in Wales”
Former Coldplay Manager Estelle Wilkinson who is curating the event –“I really wanted to bring a sense of the exciting music diversity coming out of Wales at the moment and in doing so, it’s a great opportunity to celebrate Welsh creativity and attract new people to this unique and under-used venue”.
