London-based duo Niall The Urchin share new videoTemping Bowling is the duo’s debut single and video, sarcastically showing the dark side of the office routine.

Niall The Urchin is a duo from West London. Although sonically they traverse along the post-punk path, bringing to mind Fast Product collectives from Leeds, their entertaining videos feature picturesque scenery of the London underground. Temping Bowling is a parody of the office routine, turned into a fantasy-like fable.

The duo consists of Niall and his bandmate MTB. Talking about the song, Niall explains the motif behind it: “Temping Bowling was written about the monotony of a previous job, I think a lot of the time people think hard work and rewards go hand in hand, but quite often that’s not the case. I was playing in bands, working from nine to six and had a pretty dismal boss. I started as a temp and, before I knew it, I’d been there for over a year. Ultimately most employers look at their staff as expendable and that was evident to me when Covid hit.”

More music by Niall The Urchin is on their BandCamp.
