London-based electronic duo UHURU drop fizzy and frenetic new single Thirsty ahead of the release of their debut EP.

With a name that means freedom in Swahili, it’s fitting that London-based duo UHURU should pay little heed to generic convention and instead craft their fizzy, frenetic electro-pop answering only to themselves, and each other. Entwining the once underground eclecticism of dubstep and future bass with a timeless soulful pop delivery, the duo manage to feel both contemporary, and somewhat timeless.

Latest single Thirsty is no different. Three minutes of effervescent electronica and slick pop production, it immediately introduces the band’s trademark style while earmarking the duo as one of the most exciting pop acts emerging at the moment.
