Independent Label Market have announced their fourth annual Christmas event in London. The event will this year welcome Adam Ant’s label for the first time, as well as Mute, 4AD, Big Brother and many more. In celebration, a playlist featuring music related to the day has been released on Soundcloud – check it out below.
This year’s event at Old Spitalfields Market is once again going to be supported by AIM – the Association of Independent Music – and will take place on Saturday 29th November.
Adam Ant will be showcasing his BlueBlack Hussar label, and Mute will be returning to the market for the first time since 2011.
The playlist features a number of the artists / labels that will have a connection to the event, including an exclusive new track from The Early Years along with, Bonobo, Liars, Session Victim, NZCA LINES, Planningtorock and Metronomy:
Ignition Records and associated labels, Big Brother and Sour Mash will be running stalls featuring releases from Oasis, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, and Primal Scream.
On the day there will be DJ sets from the labels !K7, Because, Human Level, Transgressive Soundsystem, plus many more.
Following the success of the Summer market, the event will also be teaming up with London Brewers’ Market for the third time, which will feature a selection of local breweries from the local area.
