Courtney Love has confirmed the release of a brand new AA single, You Know My Name / Wedding Day, released May 4, 2014. Check out You Know My Name below.

The new songs are the first new solo material Courtney has released since 2004’s America’s Sweetheart. Both tracks Courtney cites as some of the best music she has made in years.

You Know My Name is billed as “an undeniable slice of perfect punk pop” and Wedding Day “a visceral onslaught of guitar riffs with Courtney’s customary impassioned vocals”.

The single will be released on May 4 via digital download with a limited edition 7” vinyl to follow.

You can pre order it here smarturl.it/courtneyloveykmnwd.

Courtney Love has also confirmed that she will be returning to the UK in May 2014 for a 9 date tour starting with two consecutive shows at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on May 11 and 12 and finishing at Newcastle Riverside on May 22.

This will be Courtney’s first UK tour in 4 years having not played here since May 2010.

The UK is a second home to Courtney and she is thrilled to be returning explaining:

“I feel most at home in the UK and can’t wait to catch up on TOWIE and play in my second and hopefully, inevitably my first home. I grew up half a British citizen and I just miss it.  I can’t wait to play for my Brits”.

Ms Love will be joined on stage by Louder Than War favourite and cult legend Ginger Wildheart of The Wildhearts. Full dates below You Know My Name:

Guy is a former full time member of the Louder Than War editorial team, who's since moved on to pastures new. Music's been a large part of his life since he first stumbled across Peel on his tranny as a fifteen year old. His whole approach to music was learnt from Peel in fact, which includes having as inclusive a taste in music as possible. Guy devotes most of his time looking for new music & although he's been known to say "the only good music is new music" he pretty much accepts this is bollocks. Favourite band The Minutemen.
