About a year ago we heard the new Adam Ant album round his flat in West London.
It sounded great – the final part of one of the greatest comebacks in pop history.
Adam has been playing one of the new songs off the soon to be released album live. The song, ‘Vince Taylor’, was written by Boz Boorer (The Polecats, Morrissey) and sounds like a perfect rock n roll song. It’s about Vince Taylor the greatest of the rock n rollers who wrote ‘Brand New Cadillac’ and whose stage personae was so influential on Morrissey…

Adam co-wrote it with Boz in 2009. The bit about French Valerie is something that happened in his life in ’77.
According to his biography Adam later had a fight with Sid Vicious where he threatened him with the gold plated chain of Vince Taylor’s which French Valerie had given him, and Sid scarpered
