Queens-based pop-rock duo HOAX tease forthcoming album with ‘Could’

Queens-based duo HOAX try to sidestep regret on ‘Could’, the first track to be taken from their upcoming album. It is bright, demanding your attention, bouncy and soaked with guitars; it’s a hazy single with an impressive focus on melody. They like to describe themselves as ‘the beautiful sound of sadness’, an apt description for a bittersweet soundscape.

‘Could’ is one of many forthcoming tracks to explore the nature of being, the way in which the human condition necessitates action. HOAX seek to understand how we can ask questions of ourselves in order to respond effectively and avoid future regret.

“‘Could’ is the first snapshot of many narratives told in the forms of songs on the album that opens up a begrudging conversation everyone must eventually come to have with oneself. Questions that highlight the essence of BEING – which if not asked in a timely manner, might result in years and years passing by – until you finally look backwards through a telescope of regret.”

More from HOAX can befound on their FacebookTwitter and Instagram.
