Having been holed up in the studio for the last 12 months, very little is known about Liverpool trio Shallows. Fortunately, their debut single Pale does much of the talking for them. Four minutes of majestic indie pop, it’s a track entrenched in luscious synths and rich vocal melodies, proving itself the perfect accompaniment to the escapist fantasies of summer.

Having not even played a gig yet, Shallows are still very much a band wet behind the ears. That won’t last long however. Set to make their live debut at the Old Blue Last on August 5th, the buzz behind them is only going to get louder.

You can find more info on Shallows on their website:, Facebook and they tweet as: @ShallowsUK.
