Humanist
The acclaimed Humanist project whose dark post punk has seen them collaborate with the likes of David Gahan and Mark lanegan has released a Deluxe Version of ‘On The Edge Of A Lost And Lonely World’  out today and available everywhere!

Rob from Humanist says, ‘Surprisingly, the idea for a deluxe version of the record only came about a few weeks ago. It wasn’t something I had planned, but one set of events sparked a chain reaction – and less than a month later, here we are. Pulling it together wasn’t easy, but it now features remixes, new collaborations, brand-new material, and some leftover pieces that, while eclectic, all feel at home within the world of ‘On The Edge Of A Lost and Lonely World’.
In many ways, it feels like a full stop. The final track is an improvised loop that originally set this entire project in motion, inspired by the passing of a fellow musician. It also serves as a note of condolence to my good friend John, who was managing the artist at the time. It felt like the most fitting way to close what now feels like two bookends – between the debut and this latest record.
Looking ahead, I’ll be turning toward new music after the US tour. Where that will lead, I don’t yet know – but we’ll see.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped me pull this together at the last minute (remixers, collaborators, mixers,friends..) I fear listing names in case I forget someone, but here they are – in no particular order:
Emily Breeze
James Allan
David Francolini
Wendy Rae Fowler
Peter Hayes
Leah Shapiro
John Robb
Rachel Fannan
Isobel Campbell
Simon Fellah
Bella Union
Alex hush & Ric Scott: Daybreakers
Scott Pemberton
Terry Edwards
Thank you all.
I hope to see some of you in the US this September/October, supporting the brilliant Black Rebel Motorcycle Club:

A Plea From Louder Than War

Louder Than War is run by a small but dedicated independent team, and we rely on the small amount of money we generate to keep the site running smoothly. Any money we do get is not lining the pockets of oligarchs or mad-cap billionaires dictating what our journalists are allowed to think and write, or hungry shareholders. We know times are tough, and we want to continue bringing you news on the most interesting releases, the latest gigs and anything else that tickles our fancy. We are not driven by profit, just pure enthusiasm for a scene that each and every one of us is passionate about.

To us, music and culture are eveything, without them, our very souls shrivel and die. We do not charge artists for the exposure we give them and to many, what we do is absolutely vital. Subscribing to one of our paid tiers takes just a minute, and each sign-up makes a huge impact, helping to keep the flame of independent music burning! Please click the button below to help.
