Chester-based indie-rockers Seegulls unleash their new single, Eat, Lazarus, Eat.
Chester isn’t the first place you think of for burgeoning indie rock bands, but that’s exactly where Seegulls hail from. With bands such as The Libertines and The Smiths name dropped as their influences, theirs is a brand of indie rock for the despondently romantic, or should that be romantically despondent? Either way, the five-piece breathe new life in to well-trodden narratives through their irresistible energy and youthful exuberance.
Latest single Eat, Lazurus, Eat kicks off with a Rumble Strips-esque intro that’s straight up indie-pop sugaryness, before building towards it’s cathartic conclusion. You can stream it in full below:
