Portugal’s finest multi-instrumentalist bluesman has released a new video for the track Black Hole (taken from last year’s Misfit album), and has announced three UK live dates to kick off his European tour next month.
As reviewed last year by Louder Than War, The Legendary Tigerman’s last album, Misfit, saw the Portuguese blues aficionado crawl inside the skin of his own story’s protagonist, dropping out of an alienated society to embark on a desert trip of self-discovery in the pursuit of non-existence. From that album, Black Hole was possibly the most dramatic of all the great tunes on show. It surges with intensity, an almost gothic new-wave take on the style that he has developed over the years, and was one of the tracks on the album that broke his own mould. Now he is ready to bring his Misfits show to the UK.
With his band, he will kick off his European tour on 12th of March at The Cluny 2 in Newcastle, followed by London’s MOTH Club (13/03), and Ramsgate’s Music Hall (14/03). From there he heads back over to mainland Europe for dates in France and Germany. Full details of his tour can be found on his Songkick page.
Misfit is available in all formats via Dirty Water Records through The Legendary Tigerman’s Bandcamp page.
