There is another potential sad loss on the record store frontline with legendary Edinburgh independent record shop announcing a drop in sales and potentially having to close or re-think its model in January.

They have written a blog on their website about this.

Tumbling record sales and the rise of pirated music is really hitting the independent shops, labels, studios and bands hard and despite what the internet pirates and other experts claim about being a threat to majors it’s the small indie enthusiasts that are closing down with many decades old independent shops struggling or closing.
