Lawrence of Belgravia screening plus Q&A with Dave Haslam

A special screening of the documentary film ‘Lawrence of Belgravia’ with a Q&A featuring Lawrence (Felt), in a historic warehouse space on a Saturday afternoon.

As lead singer with the band Felt, Lawrence won hearts and a cult following in the 1980s, and he went on to form Denim and Go Kart Mozart. Lawrence will be present at this special screening of Paul Kelly’s intimate, documentary film which follows Lawrence between Go Kart Mozart albums. He appears as, perhaps, he always has; a man out of time, and a confused, confusing genius.

This is the Manchester premiere of ‘Lawrence of Belgravia‘ and following the film Dave Haslam will host a Q&A with Paul Kelly and Lawrence. In addition, Tim Burgess will be in attendance and will provide a short introduction to the film.

We have, of course, already put two reviews of the film on the site, one of which included a q n a. You can find then here & here.

A brilliant space in the historic 1830 Warehouse at the Museum of Science & Industry in Manchester has been secured as a Pop Up Cinema for the weekend and this is where the screening of ‘Lawrence of Belgravia’ will take place.

Tickets in advance from here; ‘Lawrence of Belgravia’ with a Q&A featuring Lawrence (Felt).

Tickets are £8, with a limited number for sale on the door (£10).

This special screening is part of the Manchester arts and culture event the Manchester Weekender.
