Louder Than War favourites King Blues have shocked us by splitting up…

The band who have built up a big and fervent live following with the firebrand political ska punk have gone their separate ways with an announcement on their official website Kingblues.com saying that

‘It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that we must inform you, that as of today The King Blues are no more. We are all immensely proud of our body of work. We will be releasing the last The King Blues album entitled ‘Long Live The Struggle’ as the final chapter. The album will be released in early July 2012. “We simply feel we have taken things as far as they can go and it would be unfair on you if we were to go through the motions like so many other artists do. We all believe strongly in what The King Blues stands for.”

  1. Not much of a story… watch for various upcoming reformations of this outfit – sometimes referred to as “whiggers” – over the coming 30 years. see if i’m wrong.

  2. This is pretty weird. I only heard of this band yesterday (2/4) and then a few hours later read they had split up!! I liked what I heard anyway. Oh well, that’ll teach me to be so out of touch. :)

  3. I am not sure where you’re getting your info, but good topic. I needs to spend some time learning more or understanding more. Thanks for magnificent information I was looking for this info for my mission.

  5. Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
