Kendal Calling has announced a further 80 bands to complete its 2013 line-up.
The festival, which takes place between 26 and 28 July at Lowther Deer Park in the Lake District, will be headlined by Primal Scream, The Charlatans and Basement Jaxx. Public Enemy has also been announced.
New bands and artists announced today include DJ Yoda, Lucy Rose, The Twang, a DJ set from 808 State and Elite Force.
They join a line up which also includes Seasick Steve, Johnny Marr, I Am Kloot, Ash, Roni Size and British Sea Power. As usual there will also be stages curated by Chai Wallahs and Happy Slap Boutique.
As well as music across a number of stages Tim Burgess will once again bring his Tim Peaks Diner to the fields. This year the diner will be home to The Academy – a partnership with the University of Cumbria to run a number of workshops and talks about the music industry.
Not just host to The Academy Tim Peaks will once again be serving up beverages and damn fine cherry pie to festival goers. The own-brand Fairtrade coffee and Yorkshire Tea will be served in specially-designed 100% compostable Pete Fowler designed cups (highly collectable – one recently sold on eBay for more than £11!).
Tickets for the festival are priced at £115 for the weekend and are still available online.
