Screen Shot 2017-12-11 at 14.25.22Keith Chegwin has died at the age of 60 after fighting a progressive lung condition.

A TV fixture in the seventies with his tireless, youthful and effervescent enthusiasm and skill at dealing with the chaos of live TV, Chegwin is entwined in a generation’ s memory bank from Swopshop and many other programmes like Cheggers Plays Pop to an acting career that included playing Fleance in Roman Polanski’s masterful Macbeth

He is survived by his sister – and one of LTW’s favourite radio DJ’s – Janice Long and his older brother Jeff – a radio plugger.
