Multi-instrumentalist and composer Jonny Greenwood has announced the release of his score for Lynne Ramsey’s highly anticipated film ‘You Were Never Really Here’ starring Joaquin Phoenix.

Described by Greenwood as “a mixture of string music, electric guitar and some sparse rhythms”, ‘You Were Never Really Here’ sees the composer and Radiohead member become more eclectic in his style with cues all varying in tone and instrumentation which will surely make this one of the most revered soundtracks of 2018.

Greenwood’s score will be released this Friday (9th March) digitally via Invada Records / Lakeshore Records with a physical release to be announced in the near future. Before then the first taster for the soundtrack (Dark Streets) has been released via Soundcloud (listen below)

With Greenwood’s last score for Paul Thomas Anderson’s Phantom Threads getting an Oscar nomination and Radiohead announcing tour dates these are exciting times for fans of the mercurial guitarist/composer.

‘You Were Never Really Here’ is released in cinemas this Friday.
